The Gorbals is a place of movement and meeting, where life is always in flux and new connections are there to be made.

Our first train station opened on 29/09/1848, bringing people and goods from near and far into the heart of Glasgow, on a line originally used to move coal around the city. It wasn’t flashy, but it got the job done. Lessons were learned back then: be open to change, to travellers from afar, but don’t try to be something you’re not.
